6 samples tasted.
Nice glimpse of this beautiful appellation that is Moulis. In the shadow of its neighbours, Moulis is nonetheless gaining recognition and above all being recognized for its worth. The expression of the grape varieties is full of elegance and refinement.
This year, a crush for the Château Poujeaux which stands slightly apart from its neighbours, especially by its concentration and aromatic richness when we put it in perspective of other wines tasted.
Hats off also to Mauvesin Barton who, over the vintages, is a driving property of the appellation. The wines are constantly growing in quality, it must be said that we feel all the requirements of the Barton family.
Here is my top 3 on the vintage:
- Château Poujeaux
- Château Chasse-Spleen
- Château Mauvesin Barton
