5 samples tasted. Enough to have a scant glimpse of this beautiful appellation, unfortunately still too much in the shadow of its neighbors. Listrac-Médoc allows to perfectly approach the wines of the Médoc, in their youth as after some years of aging, for budgets more than reasonable.
In my eyes, 2023 is clearly a vintage that should not be missed on this appellation. Favourite for the castles Fourcas Hosten, Fourcas Dupré and Clarke that stand out.

Fresh and deep, the nose reveals its elegant bouquet of black fruits, spices with a hint of chocolate notes. The palate is full, juicy with a nice aromatic intensity. The tannins are ripe and bring a beautiful structure, the fine acidity, it brings a very nice balance. Fresh, fruity and with a nice persistence.

Aromatic nose with notes of black fruits, spices with fine toasted notes. On the palate, it is well structured, well balanced, with a beautiful aromatic intensity. The tannins are firm and are accompanied by a fine tension. Fruity finish and a nice length.

Vibrant, elegant, fresh and of a beautiful intensity, we discover a delightful bouquet of black fruits, spices with delicate toasted notes. Attack in the mouth ample, dense, expressive and very well structured. The ripe tannins are accompanied by a fine acidity, which brings balance and freshness. Fruity finish, refined and very long.
