Fronsac

2 samples tasted in the cabinet of Éric Boissenot. These two wines are a great success. The Domaine de la Huste, which was a discovery for me, will undoubtedly be part of the very beautiful quality-price ratio of the vintage.

Given the very small number of samples tasted on Fronsac, it is difficult to identify a tangible and representative balance of the appellation as a whole.

  • Château Dalem                                                                       92-93/100

Sharp, deep and expressive, the nose reveals its pretty bouquet of black fruits, spices, flowers with a very delicate oak. The attack on the palate is full, dense, with an elegant aromatic intensity. Well structured and well balanced. The tannins are firm and accompanied by a fine acidity. Fresh, fruity finish and a convincing length.

  • Domaine de la Huste                                                              91-92/100

Fine, racy and of a beautiful intensity, on the nose, one can easily perceive its notes of black fruits, spices, mixed with slight woody notes. On the palate, it is well structured and well balanced. Firm tannins and medium acidity. Finish full of fruit and freshness with a correct length.
