When people ask me which appellation has the best value for money, I can't help but think of Castillon. Neighbor to the illustrious Saint-Emilion and its Burgundian geography.
Wines that are fruity, gourmet, fresh with great elegance. This is how to characterize Castillon in a few words. It must be said that the terroir is conducive to producing wines with this profile.
2022 is magnificent, once again you will tell me. The wines are precise, refined, very well structured with a very elegant tannic structure. There have been no missteps with a number of chateaux producing solidly grounded wines ready to travel through the years.
